gear which iz made of cast iron can take heavy load????

C.I. Gears can take heavy load but can not bear impact or jurk, one of the C.I. gears are, these are having self lubricating property.

Its an alloy of Fe.
In which-
carbon- 2 to 4.5%
silicon- 1 to 3%
sulphur- upto 0.15%
phosphorus- upto 1%
manganese- 0.5 to 1%.and it is manufactured by remelting pig iron with limestnoe,coke etc. in cupola furnace.
